Scriptures Reating to Patience
Ok, So you all know me... and my lack of patience with God sometimes, I wonder, if anyone can think of any biblical scripture in relation to "Patience", I need to understand God's personality when it comes to patience. I've had a look myself and i can see instances of people's patience with God, but not what God say's or feels about this...
Anyone help me out?

Re: Scriptures Reating to Patience
Yes I think many of us have a problem with patience, I like Isaiah 40:31 for encouraging us it says that when we wait on the Lord we will renew our strengh and then ( this is the good bit) fly like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not get tired. I am a practicle person and always asking the question of many Christian topics, ok how do I do that? how do I become patient. Hebrews 12:1-5 helps there, telling us to concentrate on Jesus and not let our sins trip us up as we run the race (its a long race). To keep going think about the patience Jesus had as sinful men did terrible things to him. but as to what God thinks about patience, In revalation, in the letters to the churches patince is mentioned as one of the things that pleased God, and there are many instances where we are told to have Patience. I am not sure we can understand what God feels about it but I am still struggling with actually doing it, but have seen good results when I have managed it.
Hope this gives you stuff to ponder.

Linda beat me to it with the old reliable Isaiah, wings like eagles. Lincoln Brewster has song called 'Everlasting God' which is based around this scripture, it starts "Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord..." Can't offer any more advice than that , sorry. Know how you feel though - having rubbish time at work, got real itchy feet (have yet to stay in a job longer than 5 years). One thing I know is that when you least expect it something will turn up.

Thanks guys, that really helps. I wonder, where did these people in the bible get the strength to be patient, lets be fair, the oppression and climate was somewhat different to today's time!
